Who is Trevor Percario?

Not just a jazz pianist

Trevor Percario is a composer and multi-instrumentalist from Chatham, Virginia.  From age five, he has immersed himself in classical music theory, composition, and improvisation on piano, bass guitar and vocals.  He currently resides in Durham North Carolina and has expanded his jazz piano performance area to include Charlotte, Rahligh, Durham, Greensboro, High Point, Winston Salem along with Martinsville, Danville, Lynchburg and South Boston Virginia.

During his college years, Trevor primarily delved into jazz, playing piano for the University of Lynchburg Jazz Ensemble while under the mentorship of pianist Butch Taylor and Lew Taylor.  While at Liberty University for a semester he performed in the school’s jazz combo under saxophonist Dr Joseph Henson. Also while in Lynchburg, Trevor joined the jazz sextet Flat Five for which he performed several shows until the end of 2021.

While at Augusta University, Trevor further embraced jazz piano under the mentorship of world-renowned jazz trombonist Wycliffe Gordon.  Here he’d joined the university’s jazz ensemble where he performed on piano and bass guitar while also writing arrangements for jazz standards such as Scotch and Water by Joe Zawinul and Take the A Train by Billy Strayhorn which were performed in concert by the ensemble.

Since graduating from Augusta University, Trevor’s greatest dream is to share his passion for jazz with audiences around the world.

Trevor has spent most of his time as a musician performing original music for many audiences.  In 2018 his music was showcased during a live performance at Crema and Vine’s singer-songwriter showcase that was broadcasted on local radio station 104.5 The Dan.  You can find the music Trevor has recorded and released on all streaming services such as Spotify and Apple Music.
